WebQuest On the Revolutionary War
The American Revolution was truly the first modern revolution. It enjoyed widespread popular support and marked the first time in history that a people fought for their independence in the name of certain universal principles of human rights and civil liberties. The American Revolution ended two centuries of British rule for most of the North American colonies and created the modern United States of America. It defines what this nation has come to be and what it values.
With that said there were distinct participants in the Revolution, and they demonstrate to us some of the highlights of the Revolution and what its significance. Use this website to navigate and research some of these people and get to know them. This WebQuest will give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with these people and crucial role they played in the struggle for American independence.
Instructions:
This is a two day project. You will use this website as your main source of information, but do not limit yourself. Below you will see further instruction on what you will be doing the next two days.
Day 1- On Day 1 you will be going over all of the different sources on the web page and familiarizing yourself with all of the keys figures. Make sure you are looking at the different primary and secondary sources available to you.
Day 2- On Day 2 you will want to start looking at one of the key figures specifically. You will also need to start and complete the assignment that is on the Assignment Package tab. Please read all of the instructions on the assignment before submitting it.
